Celem pracy jest analiza przyczyn i konsekwencji finansyzacji ekonomii, rozumianej jako rozwój oraz wzrost znaczenia sektora finansowego w gospodarce. Podstawowym problemem pracy jest odpowiedź na pytanie, w jakim stopniu istnienie dużych podmiotów finansowych przyczyniło się do kryzysu finansowego z lat 2007-2008, a także jakie regulacje powinny zostać wprowadzone, aby do podobnej sytuacji nie doszło w przyszłości. Omówione regulacje z USA oraz Unii Europejskiej pomogą określić, czy wprowadzenie regulacji wzrostu może pomóc zapobiec sytuacji, w której upadek dużych instytucji finansowych zagraża równowadze gospodarki światowej.

The aim of the thesis is the analysis of the causes and effects of financialization of the economy, which is understood as the development and increase of the financial sector of the economy. The basic problem the paper addresses is to determine to what degree the existence of big financial institutions contributed to the financial crisis of 2007-2008, as well as what legal regulations need to be introduced to avoid similar situations in the future. Certain American and European regulations mentioned in the thesis will help to determine whether or not the introduction of regulations will help to prevent the situation in which the collapse of big financial institutions will threaten the global economic balance.
