Divisibility

W pracy omawiam pojęcie podzielności oraz metody badania podzielności na przestrzeni lat. Przedstawiam podstawowe definicje, własności oraz twierdzenia z dziedziny matematyki, które łączą się z zagadnieniem podzielności. Prezentuję nieco historii - pierwszy znany fragment tekstu dotyczący podzielności, który znaleziono w babilońskim Talmudzie oraz omawiam ciekawe testy na podzielność, które dawniej stosowano i podaję przykład ich zastosowań. Dodatkowo, w pracy przedstawiam fragment artykułu Charlesa Dodgsona (autora powieści Alicja w Krainie Czarów), w którym omawia sprawdzanie podzielności przez 9 i 11. W ostatnim rozdziale prezentuję zadania dotyczące podzielności z olimpiad matematycznych o różnym stopniu trudności oraz możliwe rozwiązania tych zadań. Większość zadań opiera się na dowodzeniu podzielności przez pewną liczbę.

In the thesis, I discuss the concept of divisibility and methods of its study over the years. I present the basic definitions, properties and theorems in the field of mathematics, which combine with the issue of divisibility. I present a bit of history - the first known piece of text concerning divisibility, which was found in the babylonian Talmud and I discuss interesting tests for divisibility, which formerly were used and I give examples of their applications. In addition, in the thesis I present a fragment of an article by Charles Dodgson (author of the novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland), in which the author discusses tests for divisibility by 9 and 11. In the last chapter, I present exercises related to divisibility from mathematical olympiads of varying difficulty and possible solutions. Most of the problems are based on proving divisibility by a certain number.
