Opieka nad pacjentem z otyłością, przygotowującym się do zabiegu wszczepienia endoprotezy stawu biodrowego

Obesity is becoming one of the main diseases of civilization, which is called the epidemic. It affects not only adults but more and more often also children and adolescents. The consequences of this we will be able to observe in the future. It is a disease entity that in its course impairs and interferes with the functioning of all body systems. In my BA thesis I would like to particularly emphasize the impact of excessive body weight on the occurrence of the osteoarthritis and its subsequent consequences leading to the need for hip arthroplasty. In my BA thesis I paid attention to the role of the nurse both in the process of reducing the patient’s weight and preparing the patient for arthroplasty postoperative procedures. I used the method of literature analysis (articles and textbooks) and the case study method. The aim of the BA thesis was to present the health problems of the patient with obesity, which is being prepared for hip arthroplasty due to osteoarthritis. Formulated nursing diagnoses, goals and interventions as well as the manner of patient care were based on Dorothy Orem theory.

Otyłość staje się jedną z głównych chorób cywilizacyjnych, która określana jest mianem epidemii. Dotyka ona już nie tylko dorosłych, ale coraz częściej także dzieci i młodzieży, czego konsekwencje będziemy mogli zaobserwować w przyszłości. Jest to jednostka chorobowa, która w swoim przebiegu upośledza i zaburza funkcjonowanie wszystkich układów organizmu. W swojej pracy chciałam szczególnie podkreślić wpływ nadmiernej masy ciała na występowanie choroby zwyrodnieniowej stawów biodrowych oraz późniejsze jej konsekwencje prowadzące do konieczności przeprowadzenia zabiegu alloplastyki stawu biodrowego. W pracy zwróciłam uwagę na rolę pielęgniarki zarówno w procesie redukcji masy ciała pacjenta, jak i procesie przygotowania pacjenta do zabiegu endoprotezoplastyki oraz sposobów postępowania po zabiegu. Wykorzystałam metodę analizy piśmiennictwa (artykułów i podręczników) oraz metodę studium przypadku. Celem pracy było przedstawienie problemów zdrowotnych pacjenta z otyłością, który przygotowuje się do zabiegu alloplastyki stawu biodrowego z powodu choroby zwyrodnieniowej stawów. Sformułowane w pracy diagnozy pielęgniarskie, cele i interwencje oraz sposób opieki nad pacjentem oparte zostały na teorii Dorothy Orem.
