The subject of the thesis is the dismissal of the commune head through a local referendum. At the outset, basic issues concerning the essence, genesis and types of referendum were raised. Then, the characteristics of the commune authority were presented. The next part describes the issue of initiating a referendum by various entities. At the end, the effectiveness of the local referendum institution was analyzed on the basis of the validity criterion and additionally statistical data concerning appeals of mayors in the term 2014-2018 were presented.
Tematem pracy jest odwołanie wójta w drodze referendum lokalnego. Na wstępie poruszone zostały zagadnienia podstawowe, dotyczące istoty, genezy oraz rodzajów referendum. Następnie przedstawiona została charakterystyka organu wójta. W kolejnej części opisano problematykę dotycząca inicjowania referendum przez różne podmioty. Na zakończenie poddano analizie efektywność instytucji referendum lokalnego w oparciu o kryterium ważności oraz dodatkowo przedstawiono dane statystyczne dotyczące odwołań wójtów w kadencji 2014-2018.
