The women in the life of Louis XIV

Temat niniejszej pracy dotyczy kobiet mających istotny wpływ na życie Ludwika XIV. Obejmuje on czasy od narodzin Ludwika w 1638 roku do jego śmierci w 1715 roku z uwzględnieniem kilku lat przed narodzinami przyszłego monarchy. Rozważania rozpoczęto od opisu organizacji monarszego dworu na przykładzie Wersalu, a także przedstawienia sylwetki władcy. Następnie scharakteryzowano kolejne kobiety zaczynając od matki Ludwika XIV - Anny Austriaczki poprzez żonę - Marię Teresę Habsburg, kończąc na znanych metresach Marii Mancini, Louise de La Vallière, markizie de Montespan oraz morganatycznej żonie - markizie de Maintenon. Praca przedstawia także relacje monarchy z kobietami w poszczególnych okresach jego życia oraz ma na celu przybliżyć pozycję kobiety na francuskim dworze w XVII i początku XVIII wieku.

The topic of this work concerns women who have a significant impact on the life of Louis XIV. It covers the time from the birth of Louis in 1638 to his death in 1715, including several years before the birth of the future king. The considerations began with the description of the organization of the royal manor on the example of Versailles, as well as presentation of the ruler's silhouette. The following women were then characterized from the mother of Louis XIV, Anna of Austria, to the wife, Maria Theresa of Habsburg, to the famous mistresses of Maria Mancini, Louise de La Vallière, the Marquis de Montespan and the morganatic wife, the Marquis de Maintenon. The work also presents the monarch's relationship with women in specific periods of his life and aims to show the position of a woman at the royal manor in the 17th and early 18th centuries.
