Współczesna tożsamość mieszkańców Górnego Śląska. Na podstawie wywiadów z przedstawicielami młodszego i starszego pokolenia

Praca dotyczy współczesnej tożsamości mieszkańców Górnego Śląska. Rozdział pierwszy zawiera różnorodne definicje tożsamości, wraz z jej rodzajami. W rozdziale drugim zostały opisane takie czynniki jak: historia, tradycja, ale również gwara, które są istotne w kształtowaniu się tożsamości wśród społeczności tego regionu. Trzeci rozdział zawiera cel pracy, analizę danych wraz z metodologią badań. W ramach pracy zostały przeprowadzone badania jakościowe, w dwóch grupach wiekowych.Celem badań było pozyskanie informacji na temat współczesnego definiowania tożsamości przez mieszkańców Górnego Śląska, a także sprawdzenie czy tradycje i gwara są współcześnie przekazywane młodszemu pokoleniu.

The work concerns the contemporary identity of the inhabitants of Upper Silesia. Chapter one contains various definitions of identity, including its types. The second chapter describes factors such as history, tradition, but also things like for example dialect, which are important in shaping identity among the communities of this region. The third chapter contains the aim of the study, the analysis and the methodology of research. As part of the work, qualitative research was carried out in two age groups. The aim of the research was to obtain information on the contemporary definition of identity by the inhabitants of Upper Silesia, as well as to check whether the traditions and dialect are being passed on to the younger generation.
