Staging of anatomy: between medicine and art

The purpose of bachelor's thesis is to draw attention to the knowledge of medicine, at a time when anatomical theaters had been created and highlight their spectacular dimension. The first part, describes the arena for learning the anatomy and physiology of the human bodyand their impact on the development of dramatic theaters and other fields of art and life. Next, by analyzing the first images of the anatomy lessons and anatomical tables, the work takesinto account the level of anatomical knowledge in the confrontation with today's knowledge. In the last part of the dissertation, Tadeusz Kantor's happening was analyzed, based on theimage of Rembrandt's Anatomy Lessons.The analysis of this work of art was aimed atshowing the twentieth-century thinking about corporality in the field of perceptual.

Celem pracy licencjackiej jest zwrócenie uwagi na znajomość wiedzy w zakresiemedycyny w czasach, w których powstawały teatry anatomiczne oraz podkreślenie ichwidowiskowego wymiaru. W pierwszym rozdziale opisana została historia aren do naukianatomii oraz fizjologii ludzkiego organizmu, oraz ich wpływ na rozwój teatrówdramatycznych i innych dziedzin sztuki oraz życia. Następnie, poprzez analizę pierwszychobrazów lekcji anatomii oraz tablic anatomicznych, praca uwzględnia to, jakibył poziom wiedzy anatomicznej w konfrontacji z dzisiejszą wiedzą. W ostatniej częścirozprawy, analizie został poddany happening Tadeusza Kantora, opierający się naobrazie Lekcji Anatomii Rembrandta.
