La domestication des culturèmes dans les films animés américains doublés en polonais et en français

The present thesis deals with the process of dubbing translation of animated American films into Polish and French and strategies of domestication and foreignization in the transfer of cultural references. The aim is to explore which translation strategy dominates dubbing and why, as well as what obstacles and constraints the translator encounters during this process. The concept of culturem is introduced and thoroughly examined. The degree of equivalence, loss of information problem, and other theoretical and practical aspects of translation of cultural references are studied through an analysis of film examples both of the original version and Polish and French translations.

L’objectif du travail est d'étudier le processus de la traduction des films animés américains doublés en polonais et en français et l’application des stratégies de domestication et d'exotisation dans le transfert des références culturelles. Le but est d’examiner quelle stratégie traductive domine dans le doublage et pourquoi, aussi bien quels obstacles et contraintes le traducteur rencontre au cours de ce processus. Le concept de culturème est introduit et examiné en profondeur. Le degré d'équivalence, le problème de la perte d'information et d'autres aspects théoriques et pratiques de la traduction des références culturelles sont étudiés à travers une analyse d'exemples cinématographiques de la version originale et des traductions polonaise et française.

Celem pracy jest analiza procesu tłumaczenia amerykańskich filmów animowanych dubbingowanych w języku polskim i francuskim oraz zastosowania strategii udomowienia i egzotyzacji w transferze referentów kulturowych. Starano się zbadać, która strategia tłumaczenia dominuje w dubbingu i dlaczego, a także jakie przeszkody i ograniczenia napotyka tłumacz na swojej drodze w trakcie tłumaczenia. Szczegółowo zapoznano się z wprowadzonym zagadnieniem kulturemu. Stopień ekwiwalencji, problem utraty informacji oraz inne teoretyczne i praktyczne aspekty przekładu odniesień kulturowych zostały zbadane są poprzez analizę przykładów filmów zarówno w wersji oryginalnej jak i w tłumaczeniu polskim i francuskim.
