Les images de la femme dans Nadja d’André Breton. Analyse comparative des traductions de A. Ważyk et de J. Waczków

Praca skupia się na omówieniu i analizie obrazów kobiety w powieści „Nadja” André Bretona. W pierwszej części autorka przygląda się zmedykalizowanemu językowi, pojęciu piękna konwulsyjnego i surrealistycznej „poetyce kryzysu”, ale przede wszystkim wyodrębnia trzy główne obrazy kobiety: kobietę-filtr świata, kobietę-muzę i kobietę-monstrum. Druga część poświęcona jest szczegółowej analizie dwóch tłumaczeń „Nadji” na język polski: autorstwa Adama Ważyka (1973) i Józefa Waczkowa (1993). Metodologiczną bazą analizy jest metoda wyłożona przez Antoine’a Bermana w fundamentalnym dziele „Pour un critique des traductions: John Donne” (Paryż 1995).

Le mémoire se concentre sur la présentation et l'analyse des images de la femme dans le roman « Nadja » d’André Breton. Dans la première partie, l'auteure se penche sur le langage médicalisé, le concept de la beauté convulsive et la « poétique de la crise » surréaliste, mais surtout, elle distingue les trois images principales de la femme : la femme-filtre du monde, la femme- muse et la femme-monstre. La deuxième partie est consacrée à une analyse détaillée de deux traductions de « Nadja » en polonais : d’Adam Ważyk (1973) et de Józef Waczków (1993). Une base méthodologique d'analyse est la méthode exposée par Antoine Berman dans son ouvrage fondamental « Pour un critique des traductions : John Donne » (Paris 1995).

The paper focuses on the discussion and analysis of images of women in André Breton's novel, “Nadja”. In the first part, the author looks at the medicalised language, the concept of convulsive beauty and the surrealistic “crisis poetics”, but above all, she distinguishes three main images of a woman: a woman-filter of the world, a woman-muse and a woman-monster. The second part is devoted to a detailed analysis of two translations of “Nadja” into Polish: by Adam Ważyk (1973) and by Józef Waczków (1993). The methodological basis for analysis is the method laid out by Antoine Berman in his fundamental work “Pour un critique des traductions: John Donne” (Paris 1995).
