Development of the Internet in democratic and authoritarian countries - analysis of selected examples

This study is dedicated to the issues of the Internet and new technologies in the modern world, with particular emphasis on its contribution to the activities of authoritarian and democratic states. This work consist of three chapters, first defining the issue, second providing Internet development in authoritarianism analysis and third describing Internet in democratic countries. The work aims to show examples of selected countries, how the Internet can help and harm, lead to the development and inhibit community, stabilize or start social revolutions.

Niniejsze studium poświęcone jest problematyce Internetu i nowych technologii we współczesnym świecie ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem jego wkładu w działania państw autorytarnych i demokratycznych. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów: pierwszego wyjaśniającego najważniejsze pojęcia i terminy, drugiego stanowiącego analizę rozwoju sieci i jej wpływu na wolność wypowiedzi w krajach autorytarnych oraz trzeciego, który jest analizą interakcji Internetu w konfrontacji z podstawowymi zasadami demokracji. Praca ma na celu wskazanie na przykładzie wybranych państw, w jaki sposób Internet może pomagać i szkodzić, prowadzić do rozwoju i hamować społeczności, stabilizować czy rozpoczynać rewolucje społeczne.
