Neue Subjektivität in der „Trilogie des Wiedersehens“ von Botho Strauß

Celem niniejszej pracy licencjackiej jest analiza sztuki teatralnej „Trilogie des Wiedersehens” (1976) autorstwa niemieckiego pisarza i dramaturga Botho Straußa oraz udowodnienie postawionej we wstępie tezy, która brzmi: W sztuce teatralnej „Trilogie des Wiedersehens” dają się odnaleźć wybrane cechy charakterystyczne dla Nowej Subiektywności. Obok analizy treści koncentruję się również na emocjach bohaterów.We wstępie pracy została scharakteryzowana problematyka utworu oraz osobiste motywy, które wpłynęły na wybór tematu. Następnie zostały przedstawione i opisane cechy charakterystyczne dla literatury Nowej Subiektywności. Analiza sztuki teatralnej jest centralną częścią pracy i została przedstawiona w czterech kolejnych podrozdziałach: odpolitycznienie literatury – doświadczenia i problemy dnia codziennego, choroby, związki międzyludzkie oraz samoanaliza i poszukiwanie własnej tożsamości. W pierwszej części zostały przeanalizowane sceny, w których bohaterowie rozmawiają na tematy związane z pracą, zainteresowaniami oraz planami na przyszłość bez odnoszenia się do polityki. W kolejnym podrozdziale została przedstawiona analiza scen, które dotyczą problemów zdrowotnych takich jak bezsenność, alergia czy rak. Kolejna część koncentruje się na problemach występujących w związkach miłosnych i w rodzinie. Czwarty rozdział analizuje w jaki sposób bohaterowie dokonują analizy własnej osoby i szukają własnej tożsamości. Przeprowadzona analiza pozwoliła stwierdzić, że sztuka „Trilogie des Wiedersehens” posiada cechy charakterystyczne dla Nowej Subiektywności. Przejawiają się one zarówno w sytuacjach przedstawionych w danych scenach i tematach poruszanych w rozmowach bohaterów, jak i na poziomie językowym. Utwór opowiada o życiu prywatnym oraz codziennych problemach. Został napisany prostym, codziennym językiem, a nacechowane emocjonalnie wypowiedzi bohaterów oddają ich uczucia i wewnętrzne przeżycia.

In meiner Bachelorarbeit analysiere ich das Theaterstück „Trilogie des Wiedersehens“ (1976) von Botho Strauß und versuche meine These zu belegen, dass sich im oben genannten Drama ausgewählte charakteristische Merkmale der Neuen Subjektivität erkennen lassen. Neben der Analyse des Inhalts konzentriere ich mich auch auf die Emotionen, die während der Gespräche hervorgerufen werden und sich in den Aussagen von Protagonisten widerspiegeln.In der Einführung beschreibe ich die Problematik des Dramas und nenne persönliche Gründe, warum ich die Entscheidung getroffen habe, mich mit diesem Thema zu beschäftigen. Ich beschreibe auch die Merkmale der neuen subjektiven Literatur. Das zweite Kapitel hat einen analytischen Charakter und ist in vier Unterkapitel geteilt: Entpolitisierung – Alltagssituationen und Alltagssorgen, Krankheiten, Private Beziehungen, Selbstanalyse und Suche nach der Identität. Im ersten Teil untersuche ich die Szenen, in denen sich die Figuren über ihre Alltagsprobleme, Arbeit, Hobbys, Freizeit- und Urlaubspläne ohne Bezug zur Politik unterhalten. Im Mittelpunkt des zweiten Unterkapitels stehen die Krankheiten – von der Schlaflosigkeit über die Allergie bis zum Krebs. Im nächsten Teil konzentriere ich mich auf die Probleme in privaten Beziehungen: sowohl in Liebesbeziehungen als auch innerhalb der Familie. Der vierte Teil wird dem Inneren gewidmet. Ich suche die Antwort auf die Frage, auf welche Art und Weise die Figuren sich selbst analysieren und nach ihrer eigenen Identität suchen. Die Analyse des Theaterstücks machte mir bewusst, dass sowohl inhaltliche als auch sprachliche Ebene des Textes von der Neuen Subjektivität geprägt werden. Botho Strauß‘ Drama gibt einen Überblick über Privatleben, Alltagssorgen, persönliche Auseinandersetzung mit der Wirklichkeit sowie über unterschiedliche Arten der zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen. Es zeichnet sich nicht nur durch die gefühlsbetonte, sondern auch durch die einfache, alltägliche Sprache aus.

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to analyse the play "Trilogie des Wiedersehens" (1976) written by Botho Strauß and to prove my thesis that aforementioned drama has selected characteristics of the New Subjectivity. Besides the analysis of the content, I also focus on the emotions that are evoked during the conversations between the protagonists.In the introduction I present the main issues of the novel, the context of its creation and personal reasons why I have decided to explore this topic. I also describe the characteristics of the New Subjectivity. The second chapter has an analytical character and is divided in four parts: Everyday situations and everyday worries, Diseases, Private relationships, Self-analysis and search for identity. In the first part I analyse the scenes which concern everyday problems, work, hobbies and plans for the future without reference to politics. The second part focuses on the diseases - from insomnia to allergies to cancer. The next part presents the problems in private relationships: both in love relationships and within the family. In the last part I am looking for the answer to the question in which way the characters analyse themselves and search for their own identity. The analysis of the "Trilogie des Wiedersehens" made me aware that both the linguistic and the content-related levels of the drama are influenced by the New Subjectivity. Botho Strauß's play provides an overview of private life, everyday worries, personal confrontation with reality as well as of different types of interpersonal relationships. It is characterized not only by its emotional, but also by its simple, everyday language.
