Withdrawal procedure of a member state from the European Union on the example of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

The purpose of this work is to present a nearly 3-year trial of Great Britain withdrawal from the European Union. The first such case in the history of the EU has created many questions and doubts related to the implementation of Art. 50 TEU, and some of them were clarified during the procedures, thus paving the way for future situations and will allow to improve doctrine in this area. The master also discusses the inherent issue of detachment from the Union's structures in terms of dependence in almost all possibilities before and after the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon in 2009

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie trwającego prawie 3 lata procesu wystąpienia Wielkiej Brytanii z Unii Europejskiej. Pierwszy taki przypadek w historii UE utworzył wiele pytań i wątpliwości związanych z uruchomieniem art. 50 TUE, a niektóre z nich zostały wyjaśnione podczas procedury wystąpienia, dzięki czemu utorowały drogę dla podobnych sytuacji w przyszłości oraz pozwolą ulepszyć doktrynę w tym zakresie. W pracy zostało również omówione samo zagadnienie oderwania się państwa członkowskiego od struktur Unii pod kątem uwzględnienia w prawie takiej możliwości przed i po wejściu w życie w 2009 r.
