The Lamplighter Group L2 and its dead-end elements

The thesis concerns geometric properties of the Lamplighter Group L2 and its Cayley graph with respect to a natural generating set. It is shown that in L2 there exist infinitely many dead-end elements with respect to the natural generating set and that L2 has unbounded dead-end depth with respect to that generating set.

Tematem pracy jest przedstawienie pewnych własności geometrycznych grupy latarnika L2 oraz jej grafu Cayleya względem naturalnej prezentacji wyprowadzonej w pracy. Wykazane zostanie istnienie w L2 nieskończenie wielu elementów końcowych względem naturalnego zbioru generatorów a także fakt, że grupa ta ma nieograniczoną głębokość końcową względem tego zbioru generatorów.
