Governments policy of the Second Polish Republic against the Orthodoxy

The aim of this work is to present the fate of the Orthodox Church in the Second Polish Republic. After World War I, part of the Orthodox population was found again within the borders of the Polish state. History, stereotypes rooted in Polish consciousness and fears of disintegration of the state determined the policy towards Orthodoxy during the interwar period.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie losów Kościoła prawosławnego w II Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej. Po I wojnie światowej część ludności prawosławnej na powrót znalazła się w granicach polskiego państwa. Historia, zakorzenione w polskiej świadomości stereotypy oraz obawy przed dezintegracją państwa determinowały politykę wobec prawosławia przez całe 20-lecie międzywojenne.
