Konfederacja barska jako temat malarski

The subject of this bachelor's work is the analysis of the image of the Bar Confederation in Polish art of the 18th and 19th centuries. The introductory chapter outlines the main ways of viewing and evaluating the Bar Confederation in Polish historiography of the 19th century. Afterwards, graphic and painterly depictions of episodes of the confederation are discussed, starting with illustrations from the end of the 18th century. Historical paintings on this topic only appear in the mid-19th century. The material gathered suggests that the paintings were dominated by a romantic way of interpreting events, consistent with the theses of the traditional historiography.

Tematem pracy jest analiza wizerunku konfederacji barskiej w sztuce polskiej XVIII i XIX wieku. W rozdziale wstępnym zarysowano główne sposoby widzenia i oceny konfederacji w historiografii polskiej XIX w. Następnie omówiono graficzne i malarskie przedstawienia epizodów konfederacji poczynając od ilustracji z końca XVIII w. Obrazy historyczne dotyczące tego tematu pojawiają się dopiero w połowie XIX wieku. Jak wynika ze zgromadzonego materiału, w malarstwie przeważał romantyczny sposób interpretacji wydarzeń, zgodny z tezami tradycyjnej historiografii.
