Motive and motivation in education. The case of students of the University of the Third Age and students of the Pedagogical University

The above research study concerns the educational motivation of women who undertook education as a part of adult education. The aim of the undertaken analyzes is to draw the attention to the relationship between motivation of women, life experience, their attitude to undertaken educational tasks and the influence of the environment on their educational decisions. The author carried out the qualitative research using the individual case method and the interview technique.

Niniejsza praca badawcza dotyczy motywacji edukacyjnej kobiet, które podjęły kształcenie w ramach edukacji dorosłych. Celem przedsięwziętych analiz jest zwrócenie uwagi na związek motywacji z doświadczeniem życiowym kobiet, ich stosunkiem do podejmowanych zadań edukacyjnych oraz wpływem środowiska na ich decyzje edukacyjne. Autorka zrealizowała badania jakościowe wykorzystując metodę indywidualnego przypadku oraz technikę wywiadu.
