Ruczaj In Krakow: A Manual - An Exhibitions Project

The text considers a project of a crossectional exhibition, addressed to the wide audience, presenting the problematics of the modern city planning and the development of boroughs in the 21st century, using the example of Ruczaj, a part of Krakow. This district, representative in the scale of both the city and the country, has been chosen because of its' complex character and the dynamic development during the last several decades. The processes have been set by the author in the current contexts of the urban studies' theories, showing the universal character of Ruczaj and the problems it is facing. At the same time, the author proposes to present the results of her analysis in an available, attractive form, with the use of the newest techniques and the current trends in museum design.

Praca obejmuje projekt przekrojowej wystawy, prezentującej szerokiej publiczności problematykę współczesnej urbanistyki i rozwoju dzielnic miast w XXI wieku na przykładzie krakowskiego Ruczaju. Rejon ten, reprezentatywny zarówno w skali miasta, jak i skali kraju, został przez autorkę wybrany ze względu na zróżnicowany charakter oraz dynamiczny rozwój na przestrzeni ostatnich dekad. Autorka osadza te procesy w ogólnych, bieżących kontekstach teorii urbanistyki, ukazując uniwersalizm Ruczaju i problemów, z jakimi ten wycinek miasta się boryka. Jednocześnie autorka proponuje przedstawienie rezultatów swojej analizy w przystępnej, atrakcyjnej formie wystawienniczej, z wykorzystaniem nowych technologii i aktualnych trendów muzealniczych.
