Andrzej Glaber from Kobylin Problemata Aristotelis. Considerations About Disposition Of The Human Body

This work, thanks to the transcription method, brings closer the text of Problemata Aristotelis. Considerations About Disposition Of The Human Body – the first Polish textbook about medicine and knowledge of human anatomy, translated and compiled in 1535 by Andrzej Glaber from Kobylin. The study presents the philological, linguistic and historical aspects of Considerations. In particular I analyzed the biography of Andrzej Glaber, the genesis of the Problemata Aristotelis, the state of science and the women's issue in Poland and Europe in the sixteenth century. The study also includes an editorial work – the rules of transcription, a description of the old print and an erratum. The aim of this edition is to familiarize the contemporary reader with the history of the text of Problemata Aristotelis and the contexts that have build up around it over the centuries.

Niniejsza praca dzięki metodzie transkrypcji przybliża tekst dzieła Problemata Aristotelis. Gadki o składności członków człowieczych – pierwszego polskiego podręcznika medycyny i wiedzy o anatomii człowieka, przetłumaczonego i opracowanego w 1535 roku przez Andrzeja Glabera z Kobylina. Opracowanie naukowe przestawia filologiczne, językowe i historyczne aspekty Gadek. W szczególności analizie zostały poddane biografia Andrzeja Glabera, geneza Problematów, stan nauki i kwestia kobieca w Polsce i Europie w XVI wieku. Praca zawiera dodatkowo opracowanie edytorskie – zasady transkrypcji, opis starodruku i wykaz błędów. Celem pracy jest przybliżenie współczesnemu czytelnikowi historii tekstu Problemata Aristotelis oraz narosłych wokół niego przez wieki kontekstów.
