Zastosowanie tomografii komputerowej w diagnostyce niektórych ostrych schorzeń jamy brzusznej

Traditional methods used in patients with acute abdominal diseases are radiological studies and ultrasound. In recent years, computed tomography is performed more frequently, in the majority of cases achieving higher sensitivity and specificity. The limitations of traditional methods and the role of CT in the diagnosis of selected, acute abdominal diseases, such as bowel obstruction, appendicitis, diverticulitis, complications of Crohn's disease, and renal colic, are reviewed.
