Diagnostyka KT gruczolaków nadnerczy
Adenomas are the largest group of all adrenal tumors and CT is the method of choice in their detection and differentiation. Histologically, lipid-rich and lipid-poor adenomas are differentiated. CT without contrast media administration is mainly used in the detection of lipid-rich adenomas; CT attenuation values of 10 HU or less are diagnostic of this subtype of adenoma. Dynamic CT with HU measurements at 1 and 10 minutes after contrast media administration and calculation of the washout rates is an accepted method in the recognition of lipid-poor adenomas. Most diagnostic problems occur with large, degenerated adenomas.
