New data on the settlement history of site no 2 in Aleksandrowice (Kraków district) in the Paleolithic, Neolithic and early Iron Age in the light of excavations conducted in 2019 – In 2019 rescue excavations were carried out at site no. 2 in Aleksandrowice (Kraków district). This site had already been the subject of several such actions as early as 1997, due to its location on the route of the A4 motorway. The research in 2019 provided single finds of the Late Paleolithic (Świderian culture) and Early Iron Age (Lusatian culture). The vast majority of the discovered relics should be associated with Malice culture. While the pottery inventory is relatively small and uncharacteristic, the flint inventory (nearly 600 pcs.) is of very high scientific value. Although all stages of the chaîne opératoire are represented, it is characterized primarily by its workshop profile. In particular, the inventory is distinguished by artefacts related to the preliminary treatment of raw material and to the core preparation. As well, a single sherd of Linear Band
Pottery culture and a grave of Corded Ware culture were also discovered
