The subject of research is to familiarize with the theoretical aspect of prostitution as well as to distinguish and analyze attitudes towards this practice. The main purpose was to identify and present attitudes towards the phenomenon of prostitution and to examine the conditions influencing the perception of this phenomenon. The attitudes were examined with the use of the diagnostic survey method using the questionnaire technique, and the actual tests were performed with the use of a questionnaire. The work in its scope covers the theoretical side of the phenomenon, methodology of own research, analysis of own research, conclusions and deductions. The most important conclusions include: biased and stereotypical knowledge of the respondents about the phenomenon, attitudes towards the phenomenon depend on the place of residence, religion and subjective factors, and the fact
