Consultation with residents as a form of public participation in the local government decision-making proces

This work presents the issue of one of the forms of direct democracy, which is social consultation. Explains the basic issues related to the concept of consultations and presents the preparation and proper course of consultations on the example of consultations conducted in the city of Krakow. The goal of work is to popularize the institution of social consultations as a form of involving local communities in the process of making public decisions.

Niniejsza praca podejmuje problematykę dotyczącą jednej z form demokracji bezpośredniej jaką stanowią konsultacje społeczne. Objaśnia podstawowe zagadnienia z pojęciem konsultacji związane oraz przedstawia przygotowanie i prawidłowy przebieg konsultacji na przykładzie konsultacji przeprowadzonych w mieście Kraków. Celem pracy jest popularyzacja instytucji konsultacji społecznych jako formy włączania społeczności lokalnych w proces podejmowania decyzji publicznych.
