Personality dimensions and self-esteem versus attitudes toward nudity, exhibitionistic and narcissistic traits, and sexual functioning of nude art models

Niniejszej praca magisterska jest próbą znalezienia odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy osoby eksponujące swoją nagość publicznie (w sposób zgodny z prawem np. w ramach sztuki) mają tendencje ekshibicjonistyczne lub narcystyczne, a także inne cechy osobowościowe, które odróżniałyby je od osób nie eksponujących swojej nagości. Podjęto również próbę zbadania zależności pomiędzy wymiarami osobowości i samooceną a podejściem do nagości oraz cechami narcystycznymi i ekshibicjonistycznymi oraz funkcjonowaniem seksualnym rozumianym poprzez zachowania i satysfakcję seksualną wśród osób pozujących do aktów.Grupę badanych stanowiło 31 modelek i modeli pozujących nago do aktów, a grupę kontrolą 36 osób nigdy niepozujących do aktów. Wykorzystano następujące kwestionariusze psychologiczne: Inwentarz Osobowości (NEO-FFI), Skala Samooceny (SES). M. Rosenberg, Kwestionariusz Narcyzmu (NPI) – Skalę Próżności, kwestionariusz obejmujący funkcjonowanie seksualne autorstwa Alicji Bancer w modyfikacji własnej oraz autorską ankietę dotyczącą nagości. Wykazano, iż osoby pozujące do aktów cechują się wyższym poziomem nasilenia ekshibicjonizmu niż osoby z grupy kontrolnej. Zbadano również różnicę pomiędzy grupami uwzględniając takie zmienne jak wymiary osobowości, samoocena, podejście do nagości i funkcjonowanie seksualne.

This master’s thesis attempts to answer the question of whether nude posers can be assumed to have exhibitionistic tendencies or other needs related to, for example, personality dimensions or high levels of narcissistic traits that would distinguish them from non-nude posers.An attempt was also made to examine the relationship between personality dimensions and self-esteem and attitudes toward nudity and narcissistic and exhibitionistic traits, as well as sexual functioning understood as sexual behavior and satisfaction among nude posers compared to those who had never posed for nudes.The study group consisted of 31 models and the control group consisted of 36 never nude posers. The following psychological questionnaires were used: Personality Inventory (NEO-FFI), Self-Esteem Scale (SES). M. Rosenberg, Narcissism Questionnaire (NPI) - Vanity Scale, questionnaire covering sexual functioning by Alicja Bancer in own modification and author's questionnaire concerning nudity. It has been shown that people who pose for nudes are characterized by a higher level of exhibitionism than people in the control group. The difference between the groups between the dimensions of personality, self-esteem, attitude towards nudity and sexual functioning was also investigated.An attempt was also made to investigate the relationship between personality dimensions and self-esteem and the approach to nudity as well as narcissistic and exhibitionistic traits as well as sexual functioning understood as behavior and sexual satisfaction among people posing for nudes compared to people who have never posed for nudes.The group of subjects consisted of 31 models and, and the control group consisted of 36 people who never posed for nudes.
