Financial analysis and assessment of the impact COVID-19 pandemic on the financial condition of the company – e.g. BioMaxima S.A.

The essence of the problem is to present and analyze the issues related to financial analysis and in particular to examine the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the company’s financial results. In the literature, financial analysis is presents as a tool supporting management, it’s inseparable part of every business. Based on Polish and foreign literature, the essence of financial analysis has been presented, elements and purposefulness. Analysis financial statements of BioMaxima S.A. are an attempt to identify the impact of the COVID-19 on financial results of the entity. Balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statement were subject to preliminary and expanded analysis. Based on the results obtained, we can concluded that the pharmaceutical industry is on the winner side the pandemic and was able to intelligently use its potential

Celem pracy jest przybliżenie i omówienie problematyki związanej z analizą finansową a w szczególności zbadanie wpływów trwającej w latach 2020-2021 pandemii wirusa COVID-19 na wynik finansowy przedsiębiorstwa. Analiza finansowa w literaturze określana jest jako narzędzie wspomagające prawidłowe zarządzanie jednostką, jest nieodłącznym elementem każdego przedsiębiorstwa. Wykorzystując literaturę polską jak również zagraniczną w pracy przedstawiono istotę analizy finansowej, jej elementy oraz celowość. Badania sprawozdania finansowego spółki BioMaxima S.A. są próbą identyfikacji wpływu pandemii COVID-19 na wynik finansowy jednostki, analizie wstępnej oraz rozwiniętej został poddany bilans, rachunek zysków i strat oraz rachunek przepływów pieniężnych. Dzięki uzyskanym wynikom, możemy wywnioskować, że branża farmaceutyczna znajduje się po stronie wygranych pandemii oraz potrafiła inteligentnie wykorzystać swój potencjał
