Islamic feminism in the light of feminist concept. The case of Tunisia

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie i omówienie tematu feminizmu, a także porównanie ideologii feminizmu zachodniego i feminizmu islamskiego. Autorka opisuje powstanie teorii feministycznej i pojawienie się feminizmu jako odrębnej nauki o równości płci, która leży u podstaw ruchu kobiet na rzecz wyzwolenia. W pracy przedstawiono również problematykę feminizmu islamskiego na przykładzie Tunezji, opisując strukturę koncepcji feministycznych w krajach islamskich. Porównanie feminizmu zachodniego i feminizmu islamskiego posłużyło w niniejszej pracy do ustalenia, czy zachodnie koncepcje feministyczne są spójne z teoriami feministycznymi w krajach islamskich, a także do podkreślenia osiągniętych celów, jakie dyktował ruch feministyczny.

The aim of the present thesis is to present and discuss the subject of feminism, as well as to compare the ideologies of Western feminism and Islamic feminism. The author describes the emergence of feminist theory, and the emergence of feminism as a separate science of equality of sexes, which underlies the movement of women for liberation. The thesis also presents the issue of Islamic feminism on an example of Tunisia to describe the structure of feminist concepts in Islamic countries. The comparison of Western feminism and Islamic feminism was used in the present thesis in order to determine whether the Western feminist concepts are consistent with the feminist theories in the Islamic countries, as well as to underline the goals achieved that were dictated by the feminist movement.
