Motivation to participate in the Pol'and'rock festival

Tematyka niniejszej pracy obejmuje analizę motywacji do uczestnictwa w festiwalu Pol’and’rock. Celem analizy jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie, które motywację są najważniejsze dla uczestników festiwalu. Festiwal od wielu lat cieszy się ogromną popularnością wśród polskiego społeczeństwa. Praca rozpoczyna się od określenia podstaw teoretycznych, odnoszących się do kultury oraz jej wpływu na jednostkę. Następnie zostanie przybliżony jednej z elementów kultury- festiwal masowy. W tym rozdziale zostanie opisane zarządzanie festiwalem oraz festiwal Pol’and’rock, jego historia i elementy charakterystyczne. W kolejnym rozdziale zostaną omówione główne potrzeby ludzkie oraz motywacje.Na próbie 558 respondentów przeprowadzono badania ilościowe, dotyczące motywacji do uczestnictwa w festiwalu. Badanie zostało przeprowadzone za pomocą anonimowej ankiety online do samodzielnego wypełnienia. Postawy mierzono na podstawie teorii autodeterminacji Ryana i Deciego, na którą składa się sześć regulacji motywacji. Ankieta została udostępniona na popularnym portalu społecznościowym- Facebook. Analizę zgromadzonych danych przeprowadzono za pomocą programu statystycznego SPSS. Na podstawie przeprowadzonego badania można stwierdzić, że osoby uczęszczające na festiwal Pol’and’rock najbardziej motywowani są czerpaniem z festiwalu satysfakcji oraz działaniem jako przyjemnością.

The subject of this paper is an analysis of the motivations for participating in the Pol'and'rock festival. The aim of the analysis is an attempt to answer the question which motivations are the most important for the festival participants. The festival has enjoyed great popularity among the Polish society for many years. The paper begins by defining the theoretical foundations relating to culture and its influence on the individual. Next, one of the elements of culture - the mass festival - will be introduced. This chapter will describe the festival management and the Pol'and'rock festival, its history, and characteristic elements. In the next chapter, the main human needs, and motivations will be discussed.4A quantitative study was conducted on a sample of 558 respondents regarding their motivations for attending the festival. The study was conducted using an anonymous online self-completion survey. Attitudes were measured based on Ryan and Deci's self-determination theory, which consists of six motivation regulations. The survey was made available on a popular social networking site - Facebook. The analysis of the collected data was done using SPSS statistical program.Based on the survey, it can be concluded that people attending the Pol'and'rock festival are most motivated by deriving satisfaction from the festival and acting as a pleasure.
