Potrzeby interesariuszy zewnętrznych uczelni a strategia rozwoju szkolnictwa wyższego w Polsce
Along with the processes of globalization, the environment requirements are increasing in relation to the entities of public and socio-economic life. Among these entities, the ones who play a key role are higher education institutions, as they realize important tasks for the society, i.a.: teaching students, conducting research, promoting and cooperating with local and regional communities. The aim of the paper was to search for an answer to the question whether the identified, selected needs of external stakeholders have been taken into account in the Higher Education Development Strategy: 2010-2020. Environmental project (Strategy). To achieve the aim, the needs of external stakeholders that are associated with the teaching activities were identified. Then, these needs were combined with strategic and operational objectives of higher education institutions, defined in the Strategy in the section on teaching activities. External stakeholders are those who have an impact on the organization, acting in its environment. In case of external stakeholders of higher education institutions, individuals or groups interested in its operation and outcomes are: students, candidates to study, graduates, employers, other universities, local community, parents of students, the state authorities and media. Strategic objectives of higher education institutions, defined in the Strategy in the section on teaching activities, that have been analyzed, are: adapting the education system to changing social needs, improving the quality of education and extension of the ancillary role of higher education institutions to society. The analysis showed that the Authors of the Strategy, in determining the strategic and operational objectives, have taken into account, to a very large extent, the needs of external stakeholders. It should be noted that the students are a group whose needs were most commonly taken into account.
