Routes and P(l)aces: thinking-with walking in Polish-Jewish Carpathian Landscapes
The notebooks neither produce a history of Jewish life and death in the region nor a monograph on any aspect of Jewish culture or tourism. Instead, they demonstrate a process-oriented mode of scholarship, activating the affective, interpersonal, circumstantial, and factual emerging during in situ learning. Walking is instrumentalized as an immanent mode of doing research, one that realizes and produces worlds through its constant state of becoming (becoming what is next, becoming something else).
