Legal Aspects of Activity of the Information Broker in the Knowledge Economy.

The paper presents the essence of infobrokering, one of the most dynamically developing forms of professional activity and one that meets the expectations and needs of the contemporary information society and the knowledge economy. The industry has undergone a comprehensive analysis, the process of its development and creation development both in Poland as well as in the global dimension has been portrayed. Forms and methods used by information professionals, their diversity and specificity have been described.Special attention is paid to legal issues related to the profession of information broker, the legal regulations (both national and EU) conditioning and defining the framework for its development are discussed. The significance of intellectual property rights in the work of the information broker is highlighted.

W pracy przedstawiono istotę infobrokeringu, jednej z najprężniej obecnie rozwijających się i najbardziej odpowiadających oczekiwaniom współczesnego społeczeństwa informacyjnego, jak również kształtowanej przez nie, gospodarki opartej na wiedzy, form aktywności zawodowych. Branża ta poddana została wszechstronnej analizie, ukazany został proces jej kształtowania się i rozwoju, zarówno w Polsce jak i w wymiarze globalnym. Opisano formy i metody pracy stosowane przez środowisko infobrokerskie, jak również jego różnorodność i specyfikę. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono zagadnieniom prawnym związanym z tą profesją, omówione zostały regulacje prawne, zarówno krajowe, jak i unijne, warunkujące i określające ramy jej rozwoju. Omówiono znaczenie prawa własności intelektualnej w pracy brokera informacji.
