Strony tytułowe krakowskich druków polemicznych wydanych w latach 1560-1600

The article constitutes an analysis of the title pages of Cracow polemical prints published in the years 1560-1600. For this purpose, 25 polemical prints were selected from the Cracow printing houses. The study was based on electronic versions of polemical books in the libraries' digital resources. The analysis covered the individual elements on the title pages, i.e. title, author, quote, graphic elements and publisher's address. The article focuses on indicating the distinctive features of title pages of the polemics from the end of this century. The main aim of the paper is to answer the question whether it is possible to talk about the birth of genre convention at the end of the 16th century.

Praca stanowi analizę kart tytułowych recto krakowskich druków polemicznych wydanych w latach 1560-1600. W tym celu wybrano 25 druków polemicznych wytłoczonych w krakowskich oficynach. Badania oparto na elektronicznych wersjach książek polemicznych znajdujących się w cyfrowych zasobach bibliotek. Weryfikacji poddano poszczególne elementy znajdujące się na kartach, tj. tytuł, autor, cytat, elementy graficzne oraz adres wydawniczy. W pracy skupiono się na wskazaniu cech dystynktywnych stron tytułowych polemik z końca tego stulecia. Głównym celem pracy jest próba znalezienia odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy można mówić o narodzinach konwencji gatunkowej pod koniec XVI wieku.
