The Master's thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter explains the concept of "civil society" and addresses the key points of this term. It is primarily an attempt to define it. It has been shown that politicians, publicists and scientists used it particularly often. At that time, civil society became one of the most frequently quoted slogans of free societies in the struggle to expand the scope of citizens' co-decision.The second chapter discusses the structure of civil society. This chapter tries to show the importance of parties and cooperative organizationsThe third chapter presents the issues of implementing the principles of open government in a specific society on the example of two countries: Poland and Ukraine.
