Krótka historia Biblioteki, która została utworzona w 1972 roku w strukturach Międzyuczelnianego Instytutu Wynalazczości i Ochrony Własności Intelektualnej. W artykule przedstawiono losy Biblioteki, które są nierozerwalnie związane z historią Katedry Prawa Własności Intelektualnej UJ (dawniej Instytut Prawa Własności Intelektualnej UJ) i ze zmianami organizacyjnymi zachodzącymi w strukturach Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. Opisane dzieje Biblioteki stanowią doskonały obraz rozwoju technologicznego jaki miał miejsce także w bibliotekarstwie.

A short history of the Library, which was established in 1972 within the structures of the Institute of Inventiveness and Protection of Intellectual Property. The article presents the history of the Library, which is inextricably linked with the history of the Department of Intellectual Property Law of the Jagiellonian University (formerly the Institute of Intellectual Property Law of the Jagiellonian University) and with the organizational changes taking place in the structures of the Jagiellonian University. The described history of the library is a perfect picture of changes and technological development that also took place in librarianship.
