Towards a truly pragmatic concept of knowledges

The article describes the evolution of the understanding and application of the concept of knowledge in the 20th century. It includes important facts, such as the epistemological turn in mathematics, Popper’s proposal, Gettier’s article, the emergence of the idea of social contexts of knowledge, the instrumentalization of knowledge e.g., in management, and a new knowledge situation in the context of artificial intelligence. These facts lead to the idea of knowledges which replaces the traditional, platonic idea of one true knowledge that belongs exclusively to man.
