Ideological foundations of the contemporary propaganda in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea

Contemporary propaganda of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (the DPRK) is a dynamic topic, undergoing changes every year. The aim of this thesis is to systematize the available knowledge on the DPRK propaganda, analysing source materials. The first chapter defines propaganda, its types and tools. The second chapter introduces the fundamentals of the North Korean propaganda, including Juche and Songun ideology. The last chapter describes Kim Jong Un’s propaganda, DPRK’s presence on the Internet, and the influence of COVID-19 pandemic on the formation of the North Korean propaganda.

Współczesna propaganda Koreańskiej Republiki Ludowo-Demokratycznej jest tematem dynamicznym, który zmienia się z każdym rokiem. Celem niniejszej pracy jest usystematyzowanie dostępnej wiedzy o propagandzie KRL-D, wykorzystując do tego analizę materiałów źródłowych. W pierwszym rozdziale zdefiniowano propagandę, jej rodzaje oraz narzędzia. Drugi rozdział zawiera podstawy północnokoreańskiej propagandy, w tym ideologii Dżucze oraz Songun. Ostatni rozdział jest poświęcony propagandzie Kim Dzong Una, obecności KRL-D w Internecie oraz wpływowi pandemii Covid-19 na tworzenie północnokoreańskiej propagandy.
