Integration policy in Cracow

The following work 'Integration policy in Cracow' concerns the topic of cultural diversity in the city of Cracow and the activities undertaken in this area. A research hypothesis was adopted that the level of multiculturalism is constantly increasing, which makes it necessary to organize appropriate measures and tools for action, for example in the form of an integration policy. The research problem was the question: what is the situation in Cracow?The work was written on the basis of scientific literature, journals and specialist articles, laws and information available on the Internet. The activities of Cracow were examined on the basis of an anlysis of reports from the „Open Cracow” program in 2016-2020 and an individual in-depth interview on the perception of integration policy and activities from the provincial perspective.Based on the research results, the increase in the numer of foreigners in Cracow is confirmed, with the simultaneous low effectiveness of integration activities and there is no unified integration policy. In urgent situations, the need for change and lack of preparation is also evident.

Poniższa praca „Polityka integracyjna Krakowa” dotyczy tematyki różnorodności kulturowej w mieście Kraków oraz podejmowanych działań w tym obszarze. Przyjęto hipotezę badawczą, że poziom wielokulturowości ciągle wzrasta, co powoduje konieczność zorganizowania odpowiednich środków i narzędzi działania, chociażby w postaci polityki integracyjnej. Problemem badawczym było pytanie: jak sytuacja wygląda w Krakowie?Praca została napisana na podstawie literatury naukowej, czasopism i artykułów specjalistycznych, ustaw oraz informacji dostępnych w Internecie. Zbadano działania Krakowa na podstawie analizy sprawozdań z programu „Otwarty Kraków” w latach 2016-2020 oraz indywidualnego wywiadu pogłębionego dotyczącego postrzegania polityki integracyjnej i działań z perspektywy wojewódzkiej.Na podstawie wyników badań, potwierdza się wzrost ilości cudzoziemców w Krakowie, przy jednoczesnej niskiej skuteczności działań integracyjnych, brakuje również ujednoliconej polityki integracyjnej. W nagłych sytuacjach widoczna jest też potrzeba zmian i braku przygotowania.
