I begin my reflections by outlining the context in which the awakening of the 'slumbering giant' took place. I try to understand the differences of opinion in society that led to fundamental changes within the country. In the second chapter, I set out the guidelines that were suggested for the creation of new works, with an indication of specific commissions from the US Government. An essential element of the animated films turns out to be their didactic side, which in barracks conditions constituted the survival of the soldier on the battlefield, juxtaposing the image of the enemy with that of America. Similar connotations are carried by the form of conveying information to the public, helping them to understand the elements of the film that make up the propaganda message. The starting point of my discussion is an attempt to answer the question of why it is that the main character of the cartoons - an animated animal - has become a reflection of American society.
