Za zamkniętymi drzwiami. Kulisy świata kobiet zmagających się z doświadczeniem niepłodności

The main aim of this thesis is to describe and try to understand the experience of women who were diagnosed with infertility. The often unheard voice of women struggling with the multifariously conditioned reproductive limitations finds space and possibility to resonate on the following pages. The context for understanding the history of the respondents are medical aspects related to the process of diagnosing and treating infertility, psychological aspects - surrounding themes of psychological costs, losses and identities, and social aspects, which are mainly related to the discourse on motherhood.Based on partially structured in-depth interviews, which were analyzed using the phenomenological-hermeneutic method, the author analyzed and interpreted the meanings that the respondents gave to their experiences. The experience of each of the interviewees was first presented individually, in order to honor each unique life story, which for these women is of exceptional value. Then, the elements depicting related, and at the same time unique experiences of the surveyed women were presented.

Niniejsza praca stanowi próbę opisu i zrozumienia doświadczenia kobiet, które otrzymały diagnozę niepłodności. Często niesłyszany głos kobiet zmagających się z wielorako uwarunkowanymi ograniczeniami prokreacyjnymi znajduje przestrzeń i możliwość wybrzmienia na poniższych stronach. Kontekstem dla rozumienia historii badanych są aspekty medyczne związane z procesem diagnozowania i leczenia niepłodności, psychologiczne – okalające wątki kosztów psychologicznych, starty i tożsamości oraz społeczne, które w głównej mierze powiązane są z dyskursem o macierzyństwie. Opierając się o częściowo ustrukturyzowane wywiady pogłębione, które przeanalizowane zostały z wykorzystaniem metody fenomenologiczno-hermeneutycznej, autorka dokonała analizy i interpretacji znaczeń, jakie badane nadały swoim przeżyciom. Doświadczenie każdej z rozmówczyń w pierwszej kolejności zaprezentowane zostało indywidualnie, celem uhonorowania każdorazowo wyjątkowej historii życia, które dla tych kobiet ma wyjątkową wartość. Następnie przedstawione zostały elementy będące obrazem pokrewnych, a jednocześnie unikalnych i niepowtarzalnych przeżyć badanych kobiet.
