Poziom empatyczności i agresji a tendencja do zachowań agresywnych w Internecie u użytkownikow mediów społecznościowych

Niniejsze badanie na celu miało sprawdzenie czy poziom empatyczności lub agresji u jednostki to skuteczne predyktory jej tendencji do zachowań agresywnych w Internecie. Mowa tu o zachowaniach z kategorii: pisanie, polubianie lub udostępnianie treści zawierających szeroko rozumianą mowę nienawiści. Za pomocą formularza online zbadano 127 osób, w wieku od 18 do 44 lat. Do pomiaru poziomu empatyczności użyto skali SWE, a do pomiaru agresji – kwestionariusza BPAQ, natomiast to pomiaru tendencji do agresywnych zachowań użyto stworzonej na potrzeby badania ankiety. Dodatkowo sprawdzany był potencjalny wpływ potrzeby aprobaty społecznej na wyniki w pozostałych testach. Potrzeba aprobaty mierzona była za pomocą narzędzia KAS. Postawiono hipotezy badawcze, zakładające dodatnią korelację między BPAQ a AMS, ujemną między SWE a AMS oraz ujemną między BPAQ a SWE. Obliczenia wykazały, pozytywną korelację pomiędzy poziomem agresji a tendencją do zachowań agresywnych oraz między potrzebą aprobaty społecznej a wszystkimi badanymi zmiennymi (agresją, empatycznością, tendencją do zachowań agresywnych.

This study aimed to investigate whether the level of empathy or aggression in an individual would affect their tendency to aggressive behavior on the Internet, for instance writing, liking, or sharing content, containing broadly understood hate speech. 127 people, aged 18-44 were examined online, using questionnaires and surveys. The polish version of both, EQ-Short questionnaire (The Empathy Quotient) and the BPAQ questionnaire (Buss Perry Aggression Questionnaire) were used to measure the level of traits and the survey, created for the needs of this study was used to measure the tendency to aggressive conduct. Furthermore, polish Social Desirability questionnaire (KAS) was used to inspect the impact of the need for social approval on the outcome of the other forms. Hypotheses were set that there will be positive correlation between BPAQ and AMS, negative correlation between SWE and AMS and negative correlation between BPAQ and SWE. The calculation shows, a positive correlation between the level of aggression and the tendency to such behaviors as well as between the need for social approval and all the examined variables (aggression, empathy, tendency to aggressive behaviors) was obtained.
