Praca poświęcona została charakterystyce twórczości amerykańskiej projektantki opraw Margaret Neilson Armstrong. Przedstawia sylwetkę twórczą artystki, jej biografię, a także tło kulturowe i historyczne mające wpływ na ukształtowanie się jej warsztatu. Charakterystyka owej twórczości oparta została na analizie projektów wchodzących w skład serii „lawendowej”. The thesis is devoted to the characteristics of the work of American book binding designer Margaret Neilson Armstrong. It presents the creative silhouette of the artist, her biography, as well as the cultural and historical background that influenced the formation of her work. The characteristics was based on an analysis of the projects included in the „lavender” series. The text describes the means of artistic expression used by Margaret Armstrong and the motifs most often used in her designs. Potential creative inspirations of the artist are also indicated.
