The subject of this work is the character of Persephone in pop culture. The work aims to show how vital is the role of the goddess in contemporary fantasy works, in which the authors often use Persephone to create both new characters and entire stories. At the beginning of the work, the terms of pop culture and retelling are explained. The next part discusses the character of Persephone and the myths in which she appears. The last part is an analysis of cultural texts that show Persephone in their content.

Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy jest postać Persefony w popkulturze. Praca ma na celu wykazanie jak ważną rolę bogini odgrywa we współczesnych dziełach fantasy, gdzie autorzy często wzorują się na Persefonie tworząc zarówno nowe postaci jak i całe historie. Na początku pracy objaśnione są terminy popkultury i retellingu. W kolejnej części omawiana jest Persefona oraz mity, w których bogini się pojawia. Ostatnia część stanowi analiza tekstów kultury, które w swojej treści ukazują Persefonę.
