The dialectological and ethnographic aspect of the material culture of Kliszczak Gorals, against the background of dialects of Southern Małopolska : names of wagon parts : introduction

The article presents dialectal terminology related to the construction of wagons. Discussed in it is the terminology from the Kliszczak dialect against the background of other dialects of southern Małopolska. The analysis concerns not only the dialectal terminology itself, but also the evolution of the wagon technology. The linguistic description is supplemented with rich iconography which reveals the construction connections between the technical el-ements. The article, which is is treated as the result of a survey, records 690 unique dialectal terms, attesting to the significant variation between the dialects of southern Małopolska. The collected linguistic material indicates the need for further detailed research in this field.
