Être saint au Moyen Âge (sur lexemple de la littérature narrative française des XIIe et XIIIe siècles).

L’objectif du présent mémoire de maîtrise est l'analyse de trois figures choisies de la sainteté qui apparaissent dans la littérature narrative française des XIIe et XIIIe siècles. Le travail se compose de quatre chapitres qui sont précédés par l’introduction et clos par les conclusions. Le premier chapitre traite du contexte spirituel et théologique des XIIe et XIIIe siècles. Il constitue un point de départ des réflexions sur la sainteté du sage („Roman d'Eracle” de Gautier d'Arras), du moine („Voyage de Saint Brandan” de Benedeit) et du chevalier („Quête du Saint Graal”) dans les chapitres suivants. L’ensemble du travail est complété par la bibliographie des ouvrages étudiés et des travaux critiques.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse three chosen figures of sanctity that appear in French narrative literature of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The work consists of four chapters, preceded by the introduction and closed by the conclusions. The first chapter discusses the spiritual and theological context of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. It is a starting point for the reflections on the sanctity of the sage („Roman d'Eracle” by Gautier d'Arras), the monk („Voyage de Saint Brandan” by Benedeit) and the knight („Quête du Saint Graal”) in the following chapters. The whole work is completed by a bibliography of the texts studied and critical works.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza trzech wybranych figur świętości pojawiających się we francuskiej literaturze narracyjnej okresu XII i XIII wieku. Praca składa się z czterech rozdziałów, które opatrzone zostały wstępem oraz konkluzją. Rozdział pierwszy traktuje o duchowym i teologicznym kontekście XII i XIII wieku. Stanowi on punkt wyjścia do rozważań nad świętością mędrca („Roman d’Eracle” Gautiera d’Arras), mnicha („Voyage de Saint Brandan” Benedeita) i rycerza („Quête du Saint Graal”) w kolejnych rozdziałach. Całości dopełnia bibliografia tekstów źródłowych i opracowań krytycznych.
