Structural Violence as a primal blocker of Development: how Galtung’s conception of Structural Violence can be applied as a Human Rights chronicle violation

The work here is entitled Structural Violence as a primal blocker of Development: how Galtung’s conception of Structural Violence can be applied as a Human Rights chronicle violation and it is written by the Master student Rafaela Venturella De Negri in defence of said title, supervised by Dr hab. Łukasz Jakubiak. The thesis defends the idea of violence captured as a self-promoting tool by the early capitalist socio-economic system and how it affects social and economic development; the primal notion here comes from Johan Galtung’s idea of structural violence as a human rights violation per se and it is expanded on Silvia Federici’s ideas of violence as the primal tool for the transition between Feudal times to Mercantilism. Notions as neoliberalism and its relation with biopower and necropolitcs are also explored in later chapters, growing into an analysis on workers, women and colonial countries connections with said topics. The last chapter is devoted to a three part analysis upon Brasil, Chile and México and their relations with structural violence as post colonial countries, this analysis being applied into a qualitative research and the examination of its results.

Rozprawa broni idei przemocy rozumianej jako narzędzie autopromocji przez wczesnokapitalistyczny system społeczno-gospodarczy i jej wpływu na rozwój społeczno-gospodarczy; oryginalna koncepcja wywodzi się z koncepcji przemocy strukturalnej Johana Galtunga jako pogwałcenia praw człowieka per se i jest rozszerzona na idee przemocy Silvii Federiki jako głównego środka przejścia od czasów feudalnych do merkantylizmu. Pojęcia takie jak neoliberalizm i jego związek z biowładzą i nekropolią są również omawiane w kolejnych rozdziałach, rozwijając się w analizę powiązań między robotnikami, kobietami i krajami kolonialnymi z tymi tematami. Ostatni rozdział poświęcony jest trzyczęściowej analizie Brazylii, Chile i Meksyku oraz ich związku z przemocą strukturalną jako krajów postkolonialnych, analiza ta została wykorzystana w badaniach jakościowych i analizie ich wyników.
