Pandemic elections of the President of the Republic of Poland in 2020

The subject matter of this thesis is Polish Presidential Elections held in 2020. In this thesis I discussed the legal regulation concerning the procedure of electing a new President of the Republic of Poland, and the legal regulation that was passed in 2020 in order to hold presidential elections during the global COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. In this thesis I covered the election protest which is the attribute of each voter but also an element of sanctioning if the election of a new President of the Republic of Poland is valid. I also portrayed the overall procedure of sanctioning if the election of a new President of the Republic of Poland is valid , which is the duty of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Poland.

Przedmiotem tej pracy są wybory Prezydenta Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej, które zostały przeprowadzone w 2020 r. W pracy ustosunkowałam się do przepisów prawnych regulujących procedurę wyborczą Prezydenta Rzeczypospolitej, oraz regulacji uchwalonej w 2020 r. na potrzeby przeprowadzenia wyborów prezydenckich w stanie globalnej pandemii COVID-19. W pracy omówiłam równocześnie instytucję protestu wyborczego jako instrumentu przysługującego każdemu wyborcy oraz nieodłącznego elementu stwierdzania ważności nowowybranego Prezydenta Rzeczypospolitej oraz procedurę stwierdzenia ważności wyboru Prezydenta Rzeczypospolitej dokonywaną przez Sąd Najwyższy.
