Fundusze Europejskie jako źródło finansowania zewnętrznego dla sektora MŚP w Małopolsce

Celem pracy jest przedstawienie istoty i metod finansowania małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw (MŚP) oraz ocena wpływu Funduszy Europejskich w latach 2014-2020 na percepcję potencjalnych małych i średnich przedsiębiorców co do możliwości finansowania działalności gospodarczej w Małopolsce. Wskutek wstąpienia Polski do UE, w ciągu ostatnich dwudziestu lat nastąpił znaczący rozwój regionów. Kluczowym czynnikiem tego progresu stały środki pochodzące z unijnych instytucji jako programy regionalne. Programy te zmierzają do przyśpieszenia rozwoju regionalnego, a także do wzrostu konkurencyjności sektora MŚP. Małopolska jest jednym z głównych beneficjentów tego wsparcia. W oparciu o wyniki sondażu wśród potencjalnych przedsiębiorców, wykazano, że Fundusze Europejskie mają pozytywny wpływ na ocenę możliwości finansowania działalności przez potencjalnych przedsiębiorców.Zapewnia to potencjał dla zakładania nowych firm w regionie, ze względu na wysoką dostępność zewnętrznego finansowania oraz sprzyjające otoczenie biznesowe do rozpoczęcia własnej działalności.

The main aim of the thesis is to present the essence and methods of financing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and evaluate the influence of the European funds of 2014-2020 on the perceptions of financing opportunities by potential SME entrepreneurs in Małopolska. As a result of Poland's accession to the European Community, regional economic development has significantly increased over the last two decades. A crucial aspect of this economic progress has been the funds allocated by the European institutions as the regional programmes. These programmes are intended to improve and strengthen regional development and to increase the competitiveness of the SME sector. Małopolska is one of the main beneficiaries of the EU funds in Poland. Incorporating evidence from a survey of potential entrepreneurs, this study demonstrates that the EU funds positively influence the perceptions of potential entrepreneurs regarding external financing opportunities in Malopolska. It also argues for the good potential of starting new businesses in the region as there is a high availability of getting external financing for future entrepreneurs and a favourable business environment to start own business.
