Indywidualny i kulturowy system wartości a zadowolenie z życia : porównawcze badanie polsko-meksykańskie

The aim of the study was to compare personal and cultural values in Polish and Mexican cultures and also to examine relationships between values and life satisfaction. We conducted the study on two student samples from Jagiellonian University and University of Monterrey. We employed the Portrait Values Questionnaire and the Life Satisfaction Scale. The obtained results demonstrate similarities and differences in personal and cultural value orientations in both cultures. Participants from Mexico declared higher levels of life satisfaction (LS). In the Polish group LS was correlated with two values (positively with benevolence and negatively with hedonism). In Mexico LS correlated negatively with universalism.
