Some aspects of tradition in the thought and literary work of Karol Wojtyła

The article is an attempt to describe the functioning of the category of tra dition in Karol Wojtyła’s literary textes. The issue was examined in two aspects: understanding of tradition and its importance for culture and history, and secondly, in the context of the presence of specific traditions that inspire Wojtyła as a writer. Particular attentions has been paid to the similarites found in this work with the conventions and tendencies of twentieth-century literature.
