Kongresmeni w systemie ustrojowym Stanów Zjednoczonych Ameryki

This master thesis aims to present the position of members of the United States Congress in the American political system. The paper discusses legal regulations impacting the current character of the mandate and gives examples from the practice of the US legislative branch. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter focuses on the general characteristics of the congressman's mandate and the legal basis that shapes it. Chapter two describes American parliamentary elections. The final chapter presents activity of the members of Congress both in the institution itself and in the congressional districts.

Celem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej jest zaprezentowanie pozycji członków Kongresu w amerykańskim systemie ustrojowym. W pracy omówiono regulacje prawne wpływające na obecny charakter mandatu, a także podano przykłady z praktyki funkcjonowania władzy ustawodawczej Stanów Zjednoczonych. Praca jest podzielona na trzy rozdziały. Pierwszy rozdział skupia się na ogólnej charakterystyce mandatu kongresmena oraz kształtujących go podstawach prawnych. W rozdziale drugim przedstawiono amerykańskie wybory parlamentarne. Ostatni rozdział dotyczy działalności członków Kongresu w samym parlamencie, jak i w okręgach wyborczych.
