Life quality of Żywiec city residents and the strategy of Żywiec County.

The level of quality of life is increasingly becoming a significant challenge in long-term development planning. This master’s thesis focuses on the analysis of the Żywiec county strategy and its impact on the quality of the life of the residents of Żywiec. The study examines key quality of life indicators such as labor and real estate market conditions, the state of the natural environment, the quality of public administration services, the entertainment offer in the city, cleanliness and aesthetics of the city, conditions of moving around the city and the level of safety in city, which have a significant impact on the quality of life in the subject of study. The thesis concludes with a set of recommendations for the authorities of the studied entity, regarding which areas should be improved to raise the quality of life and meet the needs and expectations of residents.

Poziom jakości życia staje się współcześnie coraz istotniejszym wyzwaniem w planowaniu długo perspektywicznego rozwoju. Niniejsza praca magisterska skupia się na analizie strategii powiatu żywieckiego i jej wpływie na jakość życia mieszkańców Żywca. Praca bada kluczowe wskaźniki jakości życia takie jak sytuacja na rynku pracy i nieruchomości, stan środowiska naturalnego, jakość usług administracji publicznej, oferta rozrywkowa w mieście czystość i estetyka miasta, warunki przemieszczania się po mieście oraz poziom bezpieczeństwa w mieście, które mają znaczący wpływ na jakość życia w badanym podmiocie. Praca zakończona jest zestawem rekomendacji dla władz badanego podmiotu, dotyczących tego, które obszary powinny zostać udoskonalone w celu podniesienia jakości życia oraz zaspokojenia potrzeb i oczekiwań mieszkańców.
